Teresa Mears is an editorial consultant with more than 30 years of experience in writing, editing and management. She produces special publication, newsletters, e-newsletters and magazines. Her work includes project management, developmental editing, copy editing and writing, plus coaching professionals in writing.

Among her areas of expertise are personal finance, small business, real estate, gay and lesbian issues, Hispanic issues, immigration, spirituality, South Florida and midlife transitions.

Before starting her own consulting business, she worked for newspapers ranging in size from the weekly Portland (Tenn.) Leader to The Los Angeles Times. She was most recently an assistant features editor for The Miami Herald, where she oversaw sections devoted to homes, real estate, family, spirituality and education.
